Vampires in Paris

• The Story

1933, Champigny-sur-Veude, Antonin lives the non-life of a solitary vampire in the chapel crypt of Louis de Bourbon’s former castle. He has been the guardian of the precious Nephilit Clock for centuries, even though he can’t remember how to make it work or what it is used for. But it is the only goal of his eternal existence.

 One evening after a good day’s sleep, Antonin can no longer find his precious clock. Someone has stolen it: from his crypt. How? Why? And who? In search for answers to these questions jostling around in his undead mind, Antonin follows the criminals’ trail to the capital.

 And in Paris, he receives the aid of other vampires: beautiful Adele, the Marquis Jean-Corneille de Martigues, Brother Sadeur, etc.

 Their Parisian quest leads our vampire-heroes to discover the conspiracy hatched by the Nosferatu dynasty and Count Stanislas, the great nephew of the famous Vlad the Impaler. From his native Walachia, leading a demon army, the Count came to France to retrieve the Nephilit Clock in order to halt the march of time forever, and plunge the world into one eternal night of vampire hell. 

• Gameplay

Vampires in Paris: The Nephilit Clock is a Tactical RPG game played through a series of missions on 3D terrains, featuring the heroes, the playing characters, and other non-playing characters (enemies, passive characters, etc.). Each hero in turn can move and perform actions: attack, cast spells, drink potions, feed, etc. The aim of each mission may vary: obtain an object, talk to a character, discover a secret passageway, etc. Most missions however require combat.

 During combat our hero-vampires generally use classic weapons but also their powers: transformation, invisibility, mind control, and various spells, etc.

Each hero has their own inventory, and may draw on various objects, especially the Nephilit Clock which enables them to halt and travel through time. All actions require vampire energy, however, and every healthy vampire needs a regular healthy meal.

• Development

For now, there is only one level. The others will be added gradually. So we advise you to wait a little before buying... ;-)
